The workstation will attract top postdoctors at home and abroad to carry out prospective research and tackle key technical problems based on the technology and market foundation in the field of water-based lotion. Collaborate with universities and research institutes to establish a training mechanism, promote the integration of academia and industry, and transform achievements, creating an "intellectual engine" for the long-term development of the group.

In February 2023, the "Guangdong Low VOCs Environmentally Friendly Waterborne lotion (Baldford) Engineering Technology Research Center" was approved by the Science and Technology Department of Guangdong Province to be established, demonstrating Baldford's leading position in environmental technology innovation and industrial standard construction. With the purpose of promoting "water-based, low-carbon and high-performance" in the coating industry, the center focuses on the research and development of low VOCs (volatile organic compounds) water-based lotion technology to solve the pollution problem in production and application. Systematically reduce carbon footprint by integrating the entire industry chain.

In June 2022, Baldford Testing Center was recognized by the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) and became the first enterprise laboratory in China's lotion industry to pass the international standard certification, marking that Baldford's testing capability and management system reached the national and international mutual recognition level.

R&D achievements

As a national high-tech enterprise, as of December 31, 2024, Badefu has applied for more than 200 invention patents (80 of which have been authorized) and 65 utility model patents; Participated in the formulation of 58 national/industrial/local/group standards, published more than 100 papers on industry core journals, and was rated as the exemplary organization of paint industry standardization. More than 30 products developed by Baldford have won the certification of "Guangdong Famous High Quality Products" or "High tech Products", and won the "Jung Technology Award" for five times. Among them, the project of "development of water-based fluorosilicone lotion and its application in environment-friendly low surface energy coatings" has won the "Second Prize of Science Progress in Guangdong Province in 2021".
